A perfect place to stay when visiting Roma. Trastevere was one of our favorite neighborhoods in all of Rome.
I’m obsessed with this place. The pictures while beautiful still don’t do it enough justice. The tall ceilings, the decor all made you feel at home and on vacation at the same time. The location was perfectly out of the way and in the middle of it all at the same time. You are just 10 minutes walking distance to all the best restaurants and 30 minutes to the museums and historic sites. Our host was also very nice. He waited for us 30 minutes after discussed arrival (first time in Rome and we weren’t sure of travel times and rotes from the airport) and scheduled a cab for us when we departed. Overall a fantastic place to call home for a few days.
This place is amazing! Maurizio arranged a transfer from Termini train station, and check in was a breeze. The apartment was actually larger than it shows in the photos. The place is beautifully furnished with mid century and Art Deco antiques. The bedroom is large, the bed and linens were comfortable, there were plenty of pillows, and there is a huge wardrobe with shelves, so there is plenty of storage space for your clothes. The bathroom was fine, with nice finishes and plenty of room for your toiletries, good towels and a nice window. The only downside was that the shower was pretty tight for me. I’m 6’2”, 235 pounds and I had just enough room to shower. It would be fine for anyone smaller than me. The kitchen has plenty of room. There is a large table with 2 chairs, but if you squeeze you might be able to get 4 chairs. There is a window overlooking the courtyard. There is a small refrigerator, plenty good sized for our needs. There is a 4 burner glass cooktop, and a combination microwave/toaster oven. We used the French press to make coffee and there is a European pod type coffee maker. There are plenty of dishes, glasses, silverware, and pots and pans. The living room is good sized. There are two twin beds which double as sofas and have several comfortable pillows on each one. There is a chair and a flat screen TV. We did have an occasional problem with the streaming on the TV. Also, the internet seemed to work best in the bedroom. There is a desk and several hooks for coats in the vestibule. There is a narrow balcony overlooking the lush courtyard. There is a washing machine that works well. The apartment is in the fourth floor, but there is a small elevator. You have to go down 5 steps on the ground floor to reach the elevator. Maurizio also arranged a transfer back to the train station for us. He was very easy to reach via the AirBNB messaging system, and was quick to respond to questions. The neighborhood is pretty and the unit is on a quiet street. It is two blocks from Viale Trestavere, the main north/south street in the neighborhood. That street can be a bit loud on weekend nights, otherwise it’s quiet. You can catch the numbers 3 and 8 trams right there. Overall, the place exceeded our expectations. Maurizio is a great host, and has a beautifully appointed apartment. We are already planning another stay there!
We enjoyed our short stay - the apartment and location were exactly what we were hoping for
The area Trastevere is amazing. A lot of bars and restaurants, recommend to stay there. We really liked the apartment, it was very clean and the location was great!
very Nice appartement, perfectly located in the centre of the city of Roma. very clean, pretty, easy to find.
WOW! This place is great. Very charming apartment in an incredible location. You’re only a few minutes from tons of delicious restaurants and cafes. Walk a few more minutes beyond that and you’ll cross the Tiber River and enter the city center. People who prefer to be away from the crowds and the noise, this place is for you. The apartment is situated in a very nice, quiet residential area while still being close to everything. The amenities were great and we had everything we needed. The decor is light and fresh and the apartment has nice, calm vibes throughout. We really enjoyed retreating here at the end of a busy day around Rome. There aren’t enough good things to say about it. Maurizio was very kind and helpful, responding to our messages within minutes. Thank you so much for everything! We had a great time.
good design, good communication. easy to get around, recommend
A lovely apartment! Perfectly located, great comforts, wonderful light and thoughtfully outfitted. Will book again!
My family and I enjoyed our stay at this apartment. It was very well decorated and had a great view onto surrounding gardens. It was a bit of a walk to the bars and restaurants of Trastevere, however I quite enjoyed the walk. Maurizio was very responsive to any queries and left a helpful list of restaurant recommendations for us.
You can expect a really comfortable location and great assistance from the host. When we get back to Rome, we will be calling back and staying here.
Maurizio greeted us when we first got to our accommodations and took time to help us orient ourselves. He was a great help in making suggestions that really added to our stay. Our stay in Rome was magnificent, in part to Maurizio and his assistance. I would also like to add that the accommodations were wonderful. In the past several weeks, we stayed at several Air BNBs and this location was the best."
100% recomendable !
Great host and Appartement.
Beautiful apartment with great location. Highly recommended.
The room is decorated tastefully. We love the space and the beautiful windows and views. Overall it’s a quite clean and enjoyable flat to stay. The one thing is we are three girls, because the hot water heater machine is a bit too old, we didn’t have enough hot water to shower for all of us at once. The hot water machine needs quite a long time to be prepared (more than our sleep hours). So only two of us could shower in one day and the other one has to shower in the next day. Aside of that, the flat is highly recommended.
A very beautiful flat in a great area - you really can't ask for more! Well designed, with beautiful art and furniture - and its spotlessly clean. Trastevere is a fascinating area and only a short walk from many of Rome's most important sights.
Great place. Location is very convenient yet in a comfortable distance to the busy tourist-streams. Clean, tasteful and practical, the apartment was fantastic to get back to after long days of exploring or a late dinner. The host, Maurizio, is very nice and helpful. He even gave us a lift to the airport since he coincidentally had a flight the same morning as us. All in all a great stay in a great city. We’d choose it again anytime.
Beautifully styled apartment in a convenient location at trastevere. Local neighbourhood feeling with plenty of restaurants and cafe within 10 mins walk. Vintage furniture with modern amenities.
Lovely space — so much character and beautifully decorated. Absolutely loved the balcony, it added so much to our stay. Maurizio was easy to communicate with and even let us check in early — we had an overnight flight from New York and were very tired so this was so great. Would absolutely stay here again!
Checking in was a breeze. Maurizio gave us maps and tips on where to go. He was also available and just minutes away. Loved the charming apartment, suited our needs. Maurizio was also very helpful in booking taxis to the airport, we needed 3 different ones. The apartment was sufficient, there’s only one aircon for the entire apartment but there are fans in both rooms. Up to 4 people can stay and there were enough towels and pillows and bed linens.
Paolo’s and Maurizio’s place was excellent, with impeccably stylish decor, magnificent view from the balcony and within walking distance from everything around Trastevere. Definitely recommended!
Pristine Perfect! We enjoyed Maurizio’s Apartment in Trestevere. The location is great and you’ll find everything you need. The mid-century look and feel made it even better. We were surprised how quiet it was close to the center of Rome and had the best sleep of our trip while staying there. We also appreciate being met upon arrival and introduced to the apartment. Thanks Maurizio.
A delightful and quiet apartment on the edge of a vibrant neighbourhood. In early July, we spent four days in this well-appointed apartment. Everything was as per its description. The location was excellent, being very quite but close to public transit that went directly to Rome's historic centre. One small improvement would be the addition of a stove-top espresso maker. We would certainly come again.
Lovely apartment, great location slightly above Trastevere. The apartment is well-laid out, nice and cool in the summer with a pretty, if narrow, balcony that runs the length of the apartment. Good amenities nearby, good access to public transport. Lovely views over Rome just steps away.
Clean, calm, restful oasis for visiting Rome. The living room seemed even larger than the photos suggested. The two single separate beds were perfect for my 2 adult children to sleep as well as for the 4 of us to enjoy as seating. The kitchen made it easy for breakfasts or we even made 2 simple dinners. Laundry was easy, everything I could need was there. Short walking distance to grocery, awesome gelato, many restaurants, and still walkable to central Rome, Roman Forum, Vatican, etc. I was looking for wifi, A/C, laundry, and quiet - perfect on all counts! And that's before mentioning how nice and helpful the host Maurizio is. He reserved a taxi for us to get to the airport early one morning - it was only barely more than train tickets for 4, and way more convenient. Definitely the nicest stay of our trip. Thanks Maurizio!
Maurizio’s Casa Libera was wonderful, a very thoughtful mix of vintage and new elements. The Casa Libera apartment resonated with us as architects who have studied historic and modern Italian architecture and who love the 1920’s and 1930’s architecture that this building represents. Beautiful and functional too, with carefully chosen objects. The plan is great, the details are evocative of that period in design, with a new twist. We loved being on the quiet side of Trastevere, and the beautiful garden courts with the outdoor terrace and lovely buildings, Roman pines in the distance, and birds singing in the morning were magical. Fantastic location, very wonderful building by famous italian architects, and a gracious host in Maurizio all added up to a very memorable stay in Rome. We would definitely stay here again. Thank you Maurizio!
Fantastic location, walk to dinner, public transportation near by. Quiet and comfortable. Definitely a yes.
This is a good flat if you want to be close to the action in Trastevere. A quick walk to to the Plaza Venezia tram; about 10 minutes walk to Pyramide Metro. Maurizio was gracious and attentive, and the flat was clean and on point. I would stay here again.
Great location, friendly host!
Great apartment with stylish decor, in a perfect neighbourhood. I would definitely stay here again
Elegant and Well-Appointed. I have rented many apartments while traveling and can say that Maurizio's is one of my favorites. The location in Trastevere is convenient for walking to shops and restaurants, but also on a beautiful, quiet street. It's possible to walk to Piazza Navona in just a half hour.
It's in a leafy, pretty part of Rome just beneath Janiculum Hill and close to the tram. it felt like a haven at the end of the day after a lot of sightseeing and crowds in Old Rome. What I like best were the huge French doors off both the living room and bedroom that open to a balcony which stretches the whole length of the apartment. There are two sitting areas on the balcony where I spent a lot of time looking on to the view of gorgeous gardens below and interesting buildings.
The apartment is elegantly furnished with no distracting owner bric a brac lying around. Mauricio likes furniture from the 50s and each piece was obviously chosen with care rather than at rummage sales. The linens are of excellent quality and the apartment was spotless.
Small things such as convenient outlets, hair dryer, extra wool blankets for cool evenings, cleaning supplies, and a washer make a longer stay quite comfortable. No need to bring any guidebooks about the area--there's a large library of books.
I made espresso every morning on the induction stove and sat on the balcony until I felt compelled to sightsee. Fortunately, I had covered the major sites in Rome on previous trips and could relax and enjoy the apartment and neighborhood. Maurizio will help you with reservations and taxis, etc.
It was an idyllic place to stay.
Lovely apartment in beautiful Trastevere. We absolutely loved staying at Casaliberia in beautiful Trastevere.
The apartment is spacious, and very clean, nicely decorated and overall very comfortable, we particularly loved the long balcony, overlooking the garden as it was extremely peaceful and was a great refuge. The location is great and only a short stroll to multiple restaurants, wine bars, cafes, shops and transport.
I will point out that the shower is very small, whilst that was not a problem for us, I doubt it would be comfortable for a large person, so something to be considered. In saying that it was a great shower.
Roberto was a great host and provided terrific communication.
I definitely recommend this apartment for anyone who wants to stay in Rome with the locals
We were met by Maurizio who was kind and gave detailed directions on how to use everything. The location was the best. In the heart of an authentic, gorgeous, hip Italian area, but quiet and tucked in a side street. The apartment was exactly as pictured. Clean, comfortable, with the prettiest balcony. We appreciated the small laundry washer and air dried our laundry outside. The bed was *very* firm, which some may prefer, but something to be noted if you only do well with soft beds. Just a really pretty property that we'd recommend!
quiet garden setting from the balcony &windows, close to everything. Good location on the edge of Trastevere. Close to all the shops, trattorias, bars, food, pharmacies, markets, etc but just outside the party streets. They are a 5 minute walk but not intrusive. Easy walk to Centro Storico and to ancient Rome. Piazzas for hanging out, daily market, view of Roman community life. Trams and busses very near. Apartment renovated with all conveniences including washer and wifi. Lines for drying attached to balcony rail (almost no one has dryers in Italy). Kitchen supplied with basics but not for extensive cooking. As usual in Rome, no oven but microwave and cooktop.
I lived in Trastevere at one time and this is a good apartment in an excellent location. Maurizio was very through and clear in his explanations about the apartment and the building both of which are lovely. I would use it again happily.
I would stay here again in a heartbeat! As an interior designer, I loved flat's style and the authentic elements of the apartment. Clean, convenient, comfortable and oh SO charming!! The bus is right down the street, as is the grocery and restaurants. Mauricio showed us around the first day and then called a cab for us to take back to the airport the morning of our departure. Gave us piece of mind that we would get it done correctly---thank you! This is a GEM in an already gorgeous city! There are tour books on every subject there at the apartment and Mauricio is so accessible.
Lovely home in a great location! It was very easy to get around, by walking or by public transportation. And the home itself is beautiful, clean, and quiet. A little paradise in the middle of Rome.
A great place to spend a few days when you are in Rome. exzellent location, quite and nice neighbourhood, access to tram 3 Minutes by foot. And the appartment is great. Kompletely furbished in vintage art deco style, very very clean, felt immediately at home. Quite and very good air condition. Maurizio is easy to contact by phone or SMS - immediate reaction within minutes. Thanx for the good time we had!!
Great place close to nightlife. Will return again when I am back in Rome.
My stay in Rome was very short so I didn't have the opportunity to explore the neighborhood very much. The local restaurants were delicious and very close to the apartment. I hope to make it back soon to explore more!
Truly architecturally unique apartment in a great location in Rome. Fantastic recommendations of places to go. We just wish we could have stayed longer!
We loved the apartment’s location in Travestere, which had ample restaurants, fruit markets and shops within a very short walking distance. Public transportation stops were just a few blocks away – you can take the tram 5 stops and be in the center of Rome. The apartment looks exactly as it does in photos. It was spacious, clean and felt very private. Host was responsive to my queries before our trip, while Maurizio greeted us upon arrival, showed us everything in the apartment and gave us solid advice about the area and how to get around. We had a very positive experience here!
We enjoyed very much the use of the apartment which we found excellent. The location in Travestere was perfect for getting into the centre of Rome for the big attractions, either a short walk or a trip in the tram. The area where the apartment is located is great for local restaurants and bars and full of places to enjoy Italian fare and drinks. The streets themselves are also interesting to wander through. The apartment itself had everything we needed for our short stay and was well equipped and decorated. Maurizio greeted us on our arrival and provided ample advice on what to do and where to go. There were copious Rome guide books for us to look at. They provided a small leaflet with useful local information too, and everything was clearly explained in terms of equipment in the apartment. Lastly the small balcony area was very pleasant to sit out on in the evening after a busy day sight seeing!
Our experience in Trastevere has been fantastic. The apartment is very cozy, beautiful and quiet, with the kind of atmosphere you won't find in an hotel. The location was perfect for us to move around and visit everything we wanted. The neighborhood offers so many possibilities to go out for a drink, dinner... Maurizo provided us with all the information needed for our stay and even organized a taxi for us. Thanks a lot for everything! We would definitely love to stay in this place again when we return to Rome.
We had a little missunderstang on the arrival time but appart from that, everything was wonderful: the appartment (great style, quiet and confortable, just as the pics) the best neighborhood (we walked everywhere) and a great host. Will come back and recommand for sure.
Our stay in trastevere at this beautiful vintage furnished apartment was just what we needed, close enough to the foodie/nightlife hub but still in a quiet residential area. The rooms were beautifully presented and the place was spacious. Host was waiting outside to meet us and was great help in checking in. It was a very good stay and I would highly recommend this to anyone wanting to stay a little bit out of Trastevere in Rome.
ROBERT END NANCY 2016/06
Nice location and clean space. Easy walk to sights in Rome.
This was a great host! Gave us lots of information about the neighborhood, places to eat, have coffee, explaining how the high tech appliances work. He was a great host. The apartment was beautiful, furnished very nicely. The terrace was a bit cramped but worked very well. The neighborhood was wonderful and it was very easy to get to (train from the airport, only a 10 Euro taxi ride from the station. We loved it!!
This is the perfect apartment if you want the peace of local living, but still want to be within walking distance of all the sights. The apartment was easy to get to after taking the FR1 regional train from the airport, then the No 8 tram. A very secure and safe apartment which provided everything for a fantastic holiday. The No 8 tram is just down the road and takes you to the centre of Rome in just a few minutes. Alternatively it is a lovely walk across the river and into the city to see all the sights. There are fantastic gelato shops, restaurants and bars close by. There are also lovely walks through the leafy lined streets in the area. It was the perfect location for us for our stay in Rome. Away from the tourists and crowds but still very central. The apartment itself is great. It has a separate bedroom, bathroom, kitchen, living and entry. Wi-fi is good and facilities provided were very clean and well maintained. The bonus of a large balcony was great. We loved staying here and would recommend it highly.
This appartment is as beautiful as the pictures describe. It is bright and clean and it is situated in a quiet part about 7 minutes walk from the center of Trastevere. The area is very nice, close to cozy cafees and parks with nice view over Rome. The view from the terrace was beautiful. The only thing is that the shower was a bit small for a big man, but other than that we enjoyed our stay very much.
DUNCAN AND CAROLE 2016/05
We very much enjoyed staying in this cosy apartment in the Trastevere. It was even better and more spacious than depicted, perhaps that was because everything is so well organised. We appreciated the views from the balcony ; we felt we were guests at a neighbour's cocktail party! The Trastevere is exciting to explore and this apartment is conveniently located. Gelati , shops for necessities and transport are all close by.
Apartment has a great location for exploring the Trastevere district and also excellent connection to the city center. Near is a shop, cafes and restaurant (not at the same street :)) The apartment is located in a building of the '30s, stylishly furnished. The host is nice and helpful. Good place to feel comfortable.
Stylish apartment in a quiet leafy area but just minutes from bustling Trastevere. Two little balconies to view and envy your rich neighbours, huge comfy bed, oodles of storage if you are staying a while and a well stocked kitchen (although no oven). The charming Maurizio gave us info on arrival and was at hand when hob technology threatened to defeat us. He very kindly looked after our luggage on the last day enabling us to enjoy a few hours more in this fascinating neighbourhood. Tram and buses very close but ideal for city walkers with so much within easy reach.
This apartment was absolutely perfect for my time in Rome. In my new favorite neighborhood. I stayed for a long weekend with my mother and it was so lovely with ample space and comfort for both of us. Location is the best in Rome and Maurizio is a wonderful host and even helped us reserve a taxi for our trip to the airport. I cannot wait to return -- fabulous apartment (he also has immaculate taste in art and furniture!)
Mauricio was wonderful host. When we arrived, he met us and throughly walked through how everything works and where everything is. They have maps, guides and recommendations which is extremely helpful. The apartment looks just like the pics and it was clean. The location was amazing. We loved Trastevere!!!! It was off the touristy beaten path but very safe. We felt like we were real Italians. ;) This location was also still close enough to all of the touristy attractions. All in all it was perfect. We loved our stay and appreciate the hosts.
We really enjoyed the apartment, our stay for 5 nights and the communication with Maurizio. The beautiful stone floor, the bright colors and the recent renovation let the apartment look particularly cared. The sleeping and the living rooms are spacious and, due to the large doors to the balcony, they look particularly bright and airy. The bathroom and the shower are not huge, but are perfectly adequate! Even the heater worked well. Besides the tasteful decor, I also liked the big sink in the bathroom and the good induction cooker. I recommend this fantastic apartment to anyone. Thanks for the great time and your help, Maurizio!
This beautifully furnished Art Deco apartment was perfect I so many ways. It's fantastically situated a few minutes walk from the a frequent short Tram route 8 into the heart of Rome or, in the other direction, 4 stops to Roma Travastere train station for the airport. There's also an easy bus route to Pyramide (don't miss Keats & Shelley's grave nearby this stop), the metro system for Colloseum plus train station to Osteo Antica (unmissable). Trastavere itself is such a good place to be - truly the hub of local restaurant and café life. It's an easy walk to both the Tiber and the wonderful Basilica and square of Santa Maria in Trastevere. Good to sit and take in the the early evening light over an Aperol (popular bright orange spritzer). Our host was friendly, spoke excellent English and was easy to contact. Couldn't recommend it more highly!
Our host was fantastic and very resourceful. The apartment was perfect for our three night stay! The apartment was a perfect memory for our an incredible amazing trip in Rome!
We had a very nice time at this appartement. Great location, we walked everywere. Lots of restaurants and litle shops nearby, but a quite street. Beautifully furnished, and Mauricio (who showed us around the place) was really helpfull, gave tips etc. and was always available via Whats app. (The wifi is good). We rented a scooter nearby via 'Rome for you' (Vicolo della Renella) which we can highly recommand. (Only 58 euro for 24 hours)
Maurizio flat is in a great location, walking distance to the bustling nightlife of Trastevere, but still in a very calm street. Also good possibilities for jogging in the nearby park and big stairs. I can recommend his flat!
This apartment is presented beautifully in a wonderful Trastevere location. The apartment is light and airy and exactly as described. The location is fantastic for those that want to experience the 'local' side of Rome, it is a short walk away from the main square with access to many restaurants and bars. The bathroom however has a slightly awkward layout, the shower is enclosed in a very small 'box', you are not able to move around much and the water pressure is very low. The WIFI also tends to drop out in certain places in the apartment. The check in/out procedures however was very easy, Maurizio meets you promptly at the apartment and guides you through the full process.
Melanie
We had a wonderful short break in Rome at this wonderful vintage design apartment. Maurizio greeted us at the apartment and gave us a very warm welcome, providing some very helpful information which really set us up to plan a good itinerary for the first evening and next day. Trastevere is just lovely. The apartment is a few minutes walk from the charming, historic centre of this area with very many options for eating and drinking in the lively alfresco cafe-culture scene. We visited in late February and enjoyed wonderful sunny days and were able to sit outside each evening to eat. We were able to walk almost everywhere from the apartment and only took public transport to and from the airport and for one long journey across the city. For those who may not enjoy walking all day (and we probably overdid it!) there are very good public transport links to Trastevere. The apartment is exactly as it looks on the photos - beautifully stylish and elegant but entirely functional and comfortable too. We did not want for anything and look forward to a return visit one day.
Perfect spot in Trastevere. We totally loved the apartment with his vintage design and the spacious layout. The balcony is amazing and gave you the opportunity to discover the beauty of roman private gardens. Gianicolo, Trastevere and Testaccio are just few minutes walking.
This apartment was perfect! beautifully furnished, quiet and a very comfortable bed. A great location too. Very easy to get into the centre of Rome (walk or tram) a great neighbourhood and terrific places to eat and drink nearby. We only wished we could have stayed longer!
On our arrival we were welcomed by Mauricio showing us around the apartment and giving us some useful information. The apartment is very nice, we did like the design. It's well equipped and clean , comfortable with a lovely balcony, and even cosy in the winter due to the functional heating which is a rare thing in Rome/ southern Italy. It is a calm secure place within Roman neighbourhood , which is especially nice. And Trastevere is a good place to start exploring the ancient city, and the Vatican , everything can be done by foot - and good public transport, which is helpful if you get tired of walking. Tram station is just down the street. The place was perfect for us, a family of three. (Spacious enough for 4) On arriving we would recommend taking a taxi, 50€. Train to trastevere is €8 each, plus 9€ for a taxi to the apartment. We very much enjoyed our stay in this flat and coming back to Rome , always would come again.
The apartment is cozy, stylish and functional and the neighborhood nice and quiet. Just 5 minutes walk from the center of Trastevere. It felt good to come home after a busy day of sightseeing, and that the apartment was heated. Our host was friendly and helpful. There are good guides and books about Rome to browse.
This flat is exactly as described; its a real gem of a place with a lovely warm and cozy feel. Whilst it is very close to the energetic Trastavere, it is far enough away that after a long day of sightseeing and enjoying Roma, you can melt into the quiet and calm surroundings of this flat. The apartment is well equipped and will meet all your needs.
We loved Trastevere and the flat. Nice building location. Walking to older Trastevere with restaurants and shops was a bit further out than we expected. The flat is in a nice, quiet residential area. Mauricio was very helpful and informative. This modern flat had beautiful furnishings. Morning coffee on the terrace was one of my favorite things.
We over this apartment which matched the description perfectly. We were greeted and helped by Maurcio who was warm and helpful. He had info for us with a map of the local neighborhood for supermarkets and groceries, bus stops and the like. He gave us a second sheet listing two nearby walks and some restaurant suggestions. The apartment's living room can also be used as a bedroom with a door that closes. There is a balcony that over looks greenery. The street is very quiet. Mauricio also helped us get bus tickets to Sienna and scheduled a cab to take us to the station.
My wife and I spent one week in this compact but beautifully appointed apartment. Maurizio welcomed us warmly, and we became part of Roman life within minutes! So convenient, that we practically walked everywhere we wanted to go in Rome. The restaurants & cafes as recommended in the flat list were excellent examples of what Rome has to offer. Local shops and bars great too! We would love to return!
Maurizio, was waiting for us in the apartment and welcomed us perfectly prepared: a map, addresses of the best restaurants in Trastervere, where to drink to coffee in the morning, etc. The building itself is a dream. The flat is very asthetic. From the floor over the furnishing until the neighbourhood. The flat is in a quite area, but not far from the more lively streets of Trastevere. We would stay anytime again.
MARY CHATERINE 2015/10
I would recommend this fantastic apartment to anyone. It totally met our needs in terms of location (close to the action, but in a quiet neighbourhood), very clean and comfortable, and equipped with everything we needed from a good sized bathroom to a well suited kitchen. Our host was reliable, prompt and helpful across the board. I will stay here again without hesitation.
CHANTAL - 2015/09
Great location. Lively area with restaurants, bars and a nice enoteca nearby. Childerens playground around the corner. Very clean and nicely styled appartement. Small balcony but big enough to have breakfast. Parking can be a bit of a hassle but i think that is normaal in Rome ;-) we meet Maurice,he was kind and helpfull. A great location for a family or a couple. We would like to go back someday!!
Molto Grazzie Mauricio Ciao Ciao sandrine
The apartment is so tidy and clean as in the photos and our host is very thoughtful and sweet to prepare everything the guests may need.
SIMPSON – 2015/08
I visited this flat for five days in August 15 with my wife and two teenage kids. First of all the welcome by Maurizo was very warm and packed full of information - not just about the flat but also about the surrounding area - he even made up a personal recommendation sheet on places to visit (eat and shop) along with a map. Maurizo also gave us his mobile number in case we needed him for anything. (we didn’t ). Now on to the flat: "It does exactly what it says on the tin”: - spotless and marvellous. We loved the antique furniture and design of the flat and of the actual building itself – it retains many of its original features (tell your kids to behave as this is not wall to wall Ikea like we have at home). The shower was very good (although the cabin is small) and the kitchen was well equipped in case you wanted as we did to eat in one evening. The air-conditioning worked well (located in the hallway), and we also appreciated that we could use the washing machine which was idiot proof (for me) and we could use the provided conditioner and washing liquid (these small touches make it for me). The balcony is also really nice although we personally did not use it much. I also really appreciated all the bits and pieces left out for us to use and eat in the kitchen (yogurt, milk, juice, good olive oil, tea, coffee, Italian biscuits, vinegar and so on). Now on to the location: the flat is situated in a lovely green and quiet area and we were never disturbed by noise although it is situated in Trastevere only a few blocks from all the endless restaurants and noise. There are also some bus stops round the corner (2 mins) for connections to all the main places in Rome - although as my son put it - we walked more in Rome this trip than he has walked in the last year…..although since flat’s wireless worked pretty well all was forgiven...(all the places we visited in Italy this summer were rated by my kids only by the strength of wireless connection and “flushability” (new word) of the toilets – and they tell me the flat was acceptable in both key categories). To summarize – this is a beautiful flat where we were made very welcome and felt really comfortable. - I highly recommend this lovely flat and I will definitely return in the future!!
ANA LISA – 2015/08
A very, very well designed, airy and full Of light apartment with high ceilings, original flooring and interesting Furniture. The green view is pure bliss. Despite the busy Trastevere location, it nests in a a quiet corner of a leafy road. Maurizio, the manager,is friendly and helpful, prodigal with advise. I'd go back there immeadiately if I could.
PEI - 2015/08
This is a wonderfully bright, airy apartment that comes exactly as described in the listing. Maurice met up with me despite my very early arrival, and was kind enough to let me into the apartment earlier whilst it was being cleaned to get me out of the rain. He was extremely helpful with answering questions, as well as arranging for airport transfers, both of which were much appreciated. The apartment is located on the outskirts of Trastevere, so while it's still easily accessible on foot (about 10min walk into the heart of it), it was pleasantly quiet to return to after a long day. As a single female traveler, I had no qualms walking home late at night. I also found it easy to walk to most main attractions - usually about 20-30min by foot - or else Uber works great as a reasonably priced alternative (I didn't feel like dealing with buses/trains). Overall it was a wonderful stay, and I would gladly return - highly recommended.
